YOUNG SCIENTISTS' FORUM (Open only for FILIPINO Undergraduates)
The Young Scientists' Forum (YSF) was established in 1995 as a competition for undergraduate research projects to encourage undergraduate students to actively pursue their research interests in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. Interested participants are requested to send their EXTENDED ABSTRACTS not later than SEPTEMBER 10, 2019. Please email your abstracts to [email protected]. Aside from Cash Prizes, the top 2 winners will be given a summer internship in Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan.
POSTER PRESENTATION
The IUBMB and PSBMB invites papers for poster presentation, presenting innovative strategies and initiatives for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) Education. Also, posters pertaining to latest research findings as outputs of BMB Mentoring will be accepted, including but not limited to the areas of Agri-fisheries, Molecular Systematics, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Environment and Biodiversity, and Health and Wellness. Interested participants are invited to send their papers for presentation. The deadline for submission of abstracts is on SEPTEMBER 10, 2019. Please email your abstracts to [email protected].
All papers will be reviewed for consideration. The abstracts should be formatted according to the guidelines below. Once your paper is accepted, register online on or before SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 for inclusion in the book of abstracts.

ORAL PRESENTATION
The IUBMB and PSBMB invites abstracts for oral presentation (limited slots only) based on the following mini-session topics: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) Education for K-12 Teachers, BMB Education for Undergraduate, BMB for Health Science Educationists, BMB Education for Post Graduate, Laboratory Classes in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education, Tools in Teaching Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, BMB Continuing Education in the Industry, Publishing in Education.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Please indicate if your abstract is for POSTER or YSF Presentation.
- It must be written in MS Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) in English on an A4 size template with 1" margins on all sides.
- The text should be in 11 point Arial font, single-spaced, and justified paragraphs; double-space between paragraphs.
- The title of the paper must be in bold capital letters, centered.
- Name(s) of the author(s) must be centered with one-line space from the title. PRESENTER'S NAME must be underlined.
- Author(s)' affiliation is centered and one-line space from the names of the author(s); if more than one authors, use superscript to indicate affiliation.
- The abstract should contain an introduction, objectives, major findings and conclusion/implication.
- For poster presentation, abstract must have a maximum of 300 words, including keywords.
- For YSF, an extended abstract must have a maximum of 1000 words, maximum of 3 figures and/or tables, and maximum of 5 references.
